Cherry's MX2A Purple brings a lighter, quicker tactile feel to the MX2A lineup — a 45cN actuation force and 55g bottom-out weight put it between the Brown (55cN) and a true light switch, with a cleaner bump than Brown thanks to MX2A's tighter tolerances. The clear RGB housing lets backlighting through fully, and like the rest of the MX2A line, it ships with factory-lubed springs only, so we'd recommend a full lube pass (Krytox 205g0 on the housing, TriboSys 3203 if you want to preserve tactility) if you want it silky rather than just smooth. Good pick if you liked Brown but want something a touch lighter and cleaner-feeling, without going all the way to a true linear.
