The Oil King Purple is the silent tactile: a bump, with the volume turned down. It keeps the nylon top and ink bottom, adds a purple POM stem, and uses the same side mute rings as the Pink, so the bottom-out and the return both stay quiet. The bump is rounded and medium-light, with some travel before it, not the sharp hit of the Yellow. Gateron lists 55g and 3.8mm of travel, but Milktooth measured about 38g and 3.2mm, and ThereminGoat’s sample just cleared 3.0mm. Factory lube is thinner than on the original linear Oil King, so these are the ones in the set that benefit from a light 3203 pass. LEDs are plug-in only.
